1000-Lb Sisters’ Tammy Slaton isn’t always following her strict diet lately. The reality celeb was spotted at a McDonald’s close to her hometown.

Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters has TLC viewers worried that she may have fallen off the wagon, as she was recently spotted stuffing her face with food from McDonald’s. Not too long ago, the Kentucky native was discharged from her Ohio rehab center, with the facility’s doctors encouraging her to stay on a strict diet. Tammy has been doing a great job when it comes to embracing a healthier lifestyle, but her cravings may have caught up with her.

For four seasons, Tammy had been self-sabotaging herself while ostensibly trying to qualify for potentially life-saving gastric bypass surgery. At one point, Tammy and her sister Amy Slaton had a combined weight of 1,000 pounds. With their lives on the line, it was important that the sisters shed the extra pounds. The journey was a struggle for Tammy, who often pushed her loved ones away by throwing rather extreme tantrums. However, this past summer, everything changed. She went under the knife, finally undergoing bariatric surgery.

Tammy’s 1000-Lb Life Setback Explained – & Why Reactions Don’t Bother Her

Recently, Tammy revealed images of her sitting on her motorized scooter with her oxygen tank. While doing that, she was enjoying a smoke and hamburger. Naturally, 1000-lb Sisters viewers weren’t impressed, and they lashed out at Tammy. One wrote, “Dang, Tammy.” Viewers are skeptical about Tammy keeping up with her new lifestyle, and feel that she’s slipping back into her old ways. Even though Tammy may have been eating an item not on her diet plan, it was noted that at least she was out and about. Back in season 1, Tammy would often refuse to leave the house, so there’s something of a positive here, despite the criticism.

Tammy has gotten used to the mean words left by online trolls. The 1000-lb Sisters star has learned to combat their dislike for her choices by turning off the comments. Tammy often takes to her social media to fire back with videos. She makes sure to let her haters know their actions don’t phase her. Tammy warned these types against coming for her, via a clip from January, where she was open about trying some freeze-dried candy. Hopefully, Tammy can maintain a positive attitude, and stay on the right track.

Why 1000-Lb Sisters Fans Are Worried About Tammy’s Health

The 1000-lb Sisters star took to her TikTok over the weekend, as she shared a filtered photo of herself. During the video, a voice can be heard saying that, “nothing” was wrong, with Tammy bobbing her head in agreement. The video could be perceived as a defense mechanism, after fans spotted her eating fast food and vaping, via u/pale_fix3605. It’s true that small setbacks are part of any recovery journey. Therefore, completely cutting off vices (and potentially self-sabotaging behavior) might be too much, too soon.

1000-lb Sisters’ Tammy’s making positive strides onscreen, so seeing something that seems to confirm her sliding back into old ways is inevitably difficult to take. Ultimately, Tammy’s recovery is a long road, and it’s about the whole picture. It’s more than one moment or setback.
