TLC announces that 1000-Lb Sisters season 4, featuring Tammy and Amy Slaton, will premiere in January after months of speculation by faithful viewers.

To the relief of many loyal followers, TLC just announced that a brand-new season of 1000-Lb Sisters will premiere in January. The network has been keeping its cards extremely close to its chest about the popular reality series, with fans worrying it had come to an end. Tammy and Amy Slaton, who weighed a combined weight of 1,000 pounds at one point, will be back on the small screen in the New Year.

The announcement from TLC came via Variety, and fans were beyond relieved to hear that the Slaton sisters will be back. 1000-Lb Sisters season 4 will begin Tuesday, January 17. The newest season will follow Tammy around after her near-death experience. As fans will recall, Tammy stopped breathing after her lung collapsed during the 1000-Lb Sisters season 3 finale. The press release revealed that Tammy is “struggling to cope” with her new reality. Viewers have been trying to keep up to date with Tammy on social media, but according to the new season synopsis, Queen Tammy will make a life-altering decision that “no one saw coming.”

Amy Slaton Hasn’t Quit 1000-Lb Sisters

Even though fans were worried that Amy would call it quits, 1000-Lb Sisters season 4 will show her pregnant with her second son, Glenn Allen. The new season will show Amy being extremely content as their mom. Sadly, TLC hints that Amy soon starts to realize how hard it is to be an overweight mother as she tries her best to keep up with her toddler. Brother Chris will also be appearing on 1000-Lb Sisters, as he is “desperate” to shed excess skin by hopefully qualifying for skin removal surgery.

Viewers of 1000-lb Sisters have been trying their best to keep up with Amy and Tammy on their social media while the TLC show was on hiatus, but it was no easy feat. The last that followers heard, Tammy was still in the Ohio rehab center but making strides in her health. She went quiet for months on her TikTok, only to reappear looking slimmer and telling followers she was finally abiding by her healthy diet. She also had been linked to a new man named Mikey Mooney.

Recently, news spread that Tammy was engaged to a man named Caleb, whom she met while in rehab. Not much is known about the new fiancé, but fans are hoping he is better than the last few men Tammy dated. The 1000-Lb Sisters star’s choice of men has not been the best, according to fans, but the new season could quite possibly show Tammy turning over a new leaf. As for Amy, while she has committed to the fourth season, it could very well be her last if she chooses to take a step back and be a full-time mother.

1000-Lb Sisters season 4 premieres January 17 at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
