Pedro Jimeno might have done enough on his own to alienate himself from The Family Chantel fans, but many viewers believe his mother and sister enabled and supported his bad behavior. Lidia and Nicole Jimeno have long since been considered villains on The Family Chantel ever since they were introduced on 90 Day Fiancé. Some viewers believe the two women have helped Pedro con Chantel from the start.
Chantel fell for Pedro despite being warned that the Dominican Republic native and his family were using her to get him to the U.S. Many viewers believed that Pedro was a genuine man who loved Chantel, though he insisted on sending lots of money to his mother and sister. However, fans now find it highly suspicious that Pedro broke up with Chantel as soon as he was able to apply for U.S. citizenship without her assistance. Many Family Chantel viewers now wonder if Pedro did indeed set out to scam Chantel. However, fans don’t think he acted alone in the suspected con.
Reddit user United-Gain1839 shared images of The Family Chantel‘s Pedro, Chantel and Lidia looking confused, with the caption, “Their faces once they realized their 6 year scam didn’t go as planned is priceless.” Many commenters agreed that Pedro and his scheming and cruel family were likely all in cahoots from the start when it came to him seeking an American woman to marry. “I was watching season 3 yes they are scammers but they are bad scammers and I kept thinking Nicole is stupid. At least the mom admitted they are living off Pedro [and] Chantel. Like don’t bite the hand that feeds you right?” Shoddy-Ask-2449 shared. Many users characterized Lidia and Nicole as dishonest users who were always looking out for themselves.
