After realizing that her 25-year marriage wasn’t cutting it anymore, Kim wanted more. Now, the mother of nine is taking drastic measures to make sure that she doesn’t fall back into her old and boring routine.
Kim spent most of her time raising her children on a secluded farm in Cairo, GA. While Barry Plath worked outside the home, Kim was often with her children, whom she homeschooled. The dedicated mother showed her love by refusing to let her children live typical lives. The couple’s strict rules included no sugar or TV. However, it seems like Kim actually started to miss the modern world that she was raised in, and eventually realized that she wanted more than her lifestyle, or husband, was giving her.
It has become evident to Welcome to Plathville fans that Kim is now obsessed with changing her life. The former dancer has made some extreme changes. Kim has started to mend fences with some Plath family members, while starting to ditch others. Also, she raised eyebrows when she reopened her dance studio. Kim’s Dance Studio
Welcome to Plathville viewers were shocked when Kim revealed in March that she had opened up Grady Central Dance Studio in Cairo. Kim’s studio offered numerous classes, including ballet, belly dancing, and contra dancing, with each class costing only $10. This was Kim’s first drastic move towards being financially independent.
Kim Goes to the Gym
Kim also made the decision to get herself back in shape, after not loving who she saw in the mirror. Like many other women, Kim got lost in the duties associated with being a mom and wife. Viewers noted that Kim looked notably trimmer in the newest season of Welcome to Plathville, and her skin seemed to be glowing. It could very well be true that Kim was preparing herself for the dating apps.
Kim Gets A New Wardrobe
The last thing that Kim did was give herself a total makeover. Gone were the long dresses, and in were the mini-skirts that she used to berate her daughter Moriah Plath for wearing. Welcome to Plathville viewers could see that Kim was making a conscious effort to step up her style game, and give her life a complete makeover. Only time will tell if all the effort was worth it.
