Amy Slaton Halterman from 1000-lb Sisters is gearing up for the birth of her second child and is loving posting progress updates on her social media. The TLC star is due in the summer and has been keeping fans apprised of her journey along the way. Viewers can’t seem to get enough of the cute updates.
The 1000-lb Sisters star and her husband, Michael Halterman, were overjoyed to reveal that they were going to be expanding their family. The couple has had a rather difficult journey to parenthood, thanks to Amy’s extreme weight. All of her ups and downs have been documented on her and Tammy Slaton’s TLC show. Amy often confided to her supporters that she had always dreamed of becoming a mother but found that her weight made it hard for her to become pregnant. Thankfully Amy’s hard work has paid off, and she is fulfilling one of her lifelong dreams.
The mother of two-year-old Gage posted a fun update on baby number two. Amy Slaton shared that her unborn child was now the size of a pineapple. 1000-lb Sisters followers were thrilled that Amy had hit the 33-week mark, knowing it will not be long until she will be able to hold her son in her arms. The baby currently weighs 4.3 pounds, while measuring a whopping 17 inches long. Amy also shared a photo, explaining that her baby’s skull wasn’t fully fused together, which allows for the baby to push through the birth canal.
With her second son due in the summer, Amy is already feeling the pressure of being a mother to two. The TLC star has shared that she is trying to squeeze in as much mommy and Gage time as she can. Amy recently shared a very sweet throwback photo of her son wearing a Rugrats shirt. Fans loved the nod to the ’90s and hope she will do the same with her unborn baby when he comes into the world.
Amy has shared her concerns with fans about continuing to film 1000-lb Sisters. The Kentucky native is worried that she will lose valuable time with Gage and miss special moments due to the demands of shooting a show. She mentioned that when she films, she often has family members watch her son and really misses not being around him. Amy has yet to commit to filming the fourth season. Tammy Slaton, on the other hand, has already revealed that cameras were up and running and is ready to go on with the series with or without her sister.
