Being in a relationship with mama’s boys isn’t easy, and Kimberly Cobb learned it the hard way when she began dating Matt McAdams. Although Kim knew that her boyfriend was very close to his mother, Kelly McAdams, she was beyond shocked on seeing the mother-son duo’s bizzare relationship. Since day one, Kelly didn’t approve of Kim and felt that her son Matt was too good for her.

Things just got worse when Matt and Kim had to move into Kelly’s house and stay with her. After being treated like a second option by both Matt and Kelly, Kim finally decided that she had enough. When a job opportunity in Texas came her way, the ‘I Love A Mama’s Boy’ star readily grabbed it and started making plans of moving to Texas. Although she was very excited about her new job and career prospects, Kim couldn’t help but worry about how Matt and Kelly would react to her decision to move to Texas. As expected the mother-son duo weren’t happy about it, and Matt made it very clear that he wouldn’t leave his mother and move to Texas with her. He even accused Kim of being ‘selfish’ for putting her career above their relationship. Despite her boyfriend’s disapproval, Kim decided to take up the job and moved to Texas.

Once she set foot in Texas, Kim began feeling liberated and happy. She realized that she was feeling trapped and suffocated in her relationship with Matt due to Kelly’s constant meddling. During her time away from them she realized that it would be in everybody’s best interests to end the relationship. After noticing a change in Kim’s behavior, a very worried Matt flew down to Texas to see her. What could have been a sweet gesture fell flat as Matt let Kelly tag along.  So, when Matt and Kelly met Kim and asked her what was going on, she declared that she wanted to end the relationship.

Kim pointed out how she wanted Matt to act like an adult and treat her as a priority instead of making his mom the number one lady in his life. Kim also expressed her concerns about him being ready to take responsibilities that come with getting married and felt that they both should just part ways. Matt was devastated on hearing Kim’s words and blamed her for their split. Later in his confessional, he slammed Kim by saying that she broke his mother Kelly and his heart with her actions. Fans were beyond amused on hearing him blame Kim for breaking Kelly’s heart.

A fan tweeted, “Matt Kim also broke my moms heart. #ILoveAMamasBoy Matt’s mom.” Another fan wrote, “Kelly is cool as a cucumber because this is what she’s been working towards throughout Matt & Kim’s entire relationship. She got exactly what she wanted. #iloveamamasboy.” “Matt said his mom heart is broken but I highly Doubt that she just fine to me #iloveamamasboy,” seonded a fan.
