1000-lb Sisters has Amy Slaton, who in Season 2 announced that she is having a baby. Fans quickly jumped at the opportunity to talk about their concerns. For Amy, she always wanted to be a mom and hearing that she is finally having her dream come true overjoyed her. She ignored a lot of the hate online, though, of what fans thought of all this. Many feared that he would be just like his mom and be overweight. But many people thought she would be a good mom and not let that happen.

During her pregnancy, fans were in shock to see just how easily she gave in to cravings. Eventually, her 1000-lb Sisters family saw this too and confronted her about her eating habits. She says that if she was craving it, she wanted to eat it because she was pregnant. But this was dangerous after having weight loss surgery only four months before.

She doesn’t want Gage Halterman to go through the same things that they went through with bullies or anything like that. Still, being a bigger size, makes it hard to set an example for him. Amy says that she is trying to continue her weight loss, but all her excess skin makes it hard.

She stopped losing weight because she has so much skin it hurts to work out or walk. Amy from 1000-lb Sisters says she doesn’t just want to sit on the sidelines as a parent because of her skin. She is told that she must lose more weight before she is able to get skin removal surgery because she still has a long way to go. So, what does that mean for Gage?

Amy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters says that she is noticing a lot of similarities in Gage Halterman and Tammy Slaton. She says that he, like her sister, is like a “bottomless pit” sometimes. Soap Dirt shares that she says that Gage is eating more than she does. She worries that he is getting fat and doesn’t want him to end up at 600 pounds.

Her husband, Michael Halterman from 1000-lb Sisters, assures her that Gage will not end up like that. But Amy still worries and doesn’t want him to be fat. She explains that Gage means the whole world to her, so she just wants what is best for him.
