1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton went into rehab recently, as revealed by her sister, Amy Slaton. Though Tammy admitted she struggled with drug usage in the past, she didn’t go to rehab for that issue. Instead, she reportedly went for her food addiction.

1000-lb Sisters: Tammy Slaton Gains More Weight?

Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters may have gained more weight since Season 2 wrapped. The TLC celeb appeared to struggle to fit into her wheelchair while she was out with Amy Slaton and Michael Halterman. But, that isn’t the only hint about Tammy’s possible weight gain since the end of the last season and what led to rehab.

Dr. Eric Smith also made a comment that startled viewers of the show. He claimed Tammy Slaton would die if she didn’t make changes to her diet. Also, Tammy stepped on a scale in the Season 3 update, which flashed 640 pounds and then continued to climb. So, was that what led to the rehab stint?

TLC Star Ditched by Family?

Tammy’s weight gain didn’t seem to be the only problem she faced in the new season of 1000-lb Sisters. There were several fights between she and her sisters, Amanda and Amy Slaton. But, there was a breaking point for one of these siblings. There was a lot of tension between the sisters. Amy walked out of the room exclaiming “I’m done” and stormed away.

1000-lb Sisters: Rehab Stay for Tammy

There is hope for Tammy Slaton of 1000-lb Sisters. In another update about the new episodes, Amy talked about her sibling. She revealed in the update that Tammy went to rehab. And she also revealed this isn’t the first time her sister has been there.

In previous updates shared by the star, it was revealed Tammy had been to rehab for her food addiction once before. She claimed to have weighed 800 pounds at one point. Yet, after she struggled with drugs, she stated she lost 400 pounds.

Also, Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters revealed she went to rehabilitation to get professional help with her food problem. While she was in there, she recorded videos of herself. There was one clip where she revealed what the food menu was like. Plus, she talked about how much she walked and how she was able to bathe herself.

In a prior rehab stay, Tammy even told her fans she fell in love with a man she met in the facility. However, their relationship didn’t last long. She claimed the man didn’t keep up a connection with her. Then, later she found out it was because he died. Hopefully, she got the care she needs to make a healthier life for herself.
